What is a Notary Public?        A Notary Public is a person appointed by the state government to be an impartial witness to the signing of documents.  They may also, on occasion, administer oaths.  The Notary Public is a considered a public official but may not give legal advice.

What will I need?  Each signer must be present and have a valid and current (within the last 5 years) photo ID:
(For loan document signings, you will also need to provide a photocopy of your ID to include in your loan document package).

Approved ID:                                                
Hawii Driver's License or ID Card
US Passport
US Military ID Card
Driver's License or ID card issued by another state
 

Are there any documents that a Unity House notary public can not sign?
Yes.  The items listed below will not be notarized.

Incomplete documents
Copies of documents (except Powers of Attorney)
Certificates (i.e. birth, death, marriage, etc.)
Photographs
Faxed or copied signatures
Documents signed outside my presence
