What is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public is a person
appointed by the state government to be an impartial witness to the
signing of documents. They may also, on occasion, administer
oaths. The Notary Public is a considered a public official but may
not give legal advice.
What will I need? Each signer must be present and have a valid and current (within the
last 5 years) photo ID:
(For loan document signings, you will also need to provide a
photocopy of your ID to include in your loan document package).

Are there any documents that a Unity House notary public can not
sign?
Yes. The items listed below will not be notarized.
| Incomplete documents
| Copies of documents (except Powers of Attorney)
| Certificates (i.e. birth, death, marriage, etc.)
| Photographs
| Faxed or copied signatures
| Documents signed outside my presence |
